Wanderings

Day One – El Tunco

I arrived a day before the trip was supposed to start. It was very late when I arrived, so I really didn’t see much of my surroundings. That led to a super surprise the next day. We were at a very pretty beach resort with pretty gardens and coconut palms. All dining was out of doors in the garden.

I had met one of the other ladies in my group while waiting in line for my connecting flight in Houston. We were able to share the transfer from the airport in San Salvador to El Tunco and to meet for breakfast the next morning. The waiters told us about some other ladies who were there and who would also be on our trip. The four of us had a good day together. We explored the area a bit and visited the shops. One of the ladies had lost luggage  (which never did arrive), so we shopped a bit for some emergency clothing for her at the tourist shops. I found some pretty sun dresses which worked for me and that were very reasonable.

The evening meal was lovely with very pleasant temps and a gorgious sunset.
